Disipline... It's not loud. It’s not very sexy. And it doesn’t always feel good.

If you feel your discipline needs to improve, you're probaby right.

This is my morning routine (honest truth), how does this compare to yours?

5:45 AM.

Snooze... (I told you I was being honest).

6:00 AM.

No snooze.

I slide out of bed, brush my teeth and immediately put on workout clothes. I wash any outstanding dishes (because If I dont I will lose my f*kn marbles), make my cup of green tea and prepare my 16oz of lemon water.

6:25 AM.

I dedicate maximum 20 minutes strictly to journaling and reading my every morning re-arffirming statements. I write why I am grateful, the energy I will bring to the day, my daily intentions and re-enforcing how I WILL make this happen because I'M A MACHINE. I EXECUTE ON MY TERMS. TO MY LOVED ONES, THIS IS FOR YOU. Once this is done, I'm fired up because each morning I'm reminded about the FIRE AND RAGE inside of me that refuses to surrender under any circumstances. If I have additional time, I am already jumping onto the low hanging fruit for work (messaging, posting, follow-ups) and choosing a podcast for the gym that will feed my brain with knowledge. At this point, I've finished my tea and 16oz of lemon water.

7:00 AM.

I'm at the gym. First: Warm Up 15minutes, Second: Main Routine 45mins-60mins, Last: Cool Down or core focused exercises 15minutes. At this point, I've finished by 32oz of water (48oz water total at this point).

8:30 AM.

The gym is complete. I'm back home with my victory protein shake (or drink) and logging what I've consumed plus my calories burned (I count my HIIT only) in my food tracker.

9:15 AM.

My shower is complete, make-up on and a powerful outfit that makes me feel UNSTOPPABLE. Usually this means dress and heels, but that's just how I like to roll. How I see it: When you look good, you feel good and perform even better.

9:30 AM.

Lately, I've been back on my coffee kick. I'll make black coffee with a splash of protein as my pretend creamer and prepare oatmeal or a quick egg scramble (if time allows it). By this time, I'm also drinking more lemon water and targeting to drink 32oz before 11:30am. But, at this time, I'm toggling messages, client responses, emails, posts, and re-reviewing my To Do List for the day which I created the day prior. This is PRIME execution time.

12:00 PM.

This is my time to check-in and re-align. I take my three legged animal for a walk, and once I return, I bust out my journal to re-iforce how I'm feeling, my energy, what I've felt has provided momentum, breakthroughs or any discoveries from the current workload and day.

This is NOT about being perfect. It’s about creating a routine and making refinements to improve. This morning routine or times may shift based on certain scenarios, but overall this is the baseline.

Every client I’ve coached had one thing in common: They struggled with waiting to “feel ready” — and started trusting structure more than emotion.

With my morning routine, what has resonated with you:

  1. What is your morning routine?

  2. What are your morning non-negotiables?

What can you improve from your morning routine?

Once your disipline improves, results appear and become more apparent.

You got this.

Jenny
